G. Petty, Director of Engineering
Rick
Petty is a Mechanization Member of the American Society of Agricultural
Engineers with membership since 1981. Early experience includes four years
as milk hand on a dairy. With a strong background in dairy and equipment
design, drafting and production techniques, Rick served Agpro, a dairy
equipment supplier, from 1975 - 2000 as a Designer, Director of Engineering,
Production Manager, General Manager and Vice President. During his tenure,
the company was engaged in extensive R & D related to new and improved
agricultural waste management systems. These systems were developed to
meet the ever-increasing requirements set forth by EPA and other regulatory
agencies. Rick was instrumental in the solution of related problems and
the subsequent design and development of applicable equipment. His duties
at Five-G include the overall management of in-house engineering and project
coordination. Rick has been published in numerous livestock related business
journals including Midwest Dairy Business.
